Destination – Matava Resort Kadavu, Fiji

Agent – Gregory Cole

Hi Gregory,

I just wanted to thank you for setting up such an amazing trip. It went very well and the diving certainly exceeded all my expectations!  The resort is absolutely perfect for my style, simple, great food, eco-friendly and great staff.  The bure was super comfortable and I have no complaints at all.  I would definitely return there and hope to stay 2 weeks next time; it makes sense since the flight and transfers all take about 24 hrs in travel time total!

I was so grateful for these things: more…

Cyclone Tomas

As you may know there was a recent cyclone in Fiji, Cyclone Tomas.  It got very close to some of the resorts up in the Northern Islands, but we are happy to report there was no major damage reported at any of the resorts in that area.  There was a lot of debris, fallen trees, branches, and lots of leaves down at some of the resorts but other then that not much else to report.  Clean up is in effect and most resorts are reporting business as usual.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to the local villages and people who did have quite a bit of damage done to their homes.

Trip to Fiji

My girlfriend and I took a trip to Fiji in October of last year, and were lucky enough to visit 3 great resorts along the way.  I never did make a review of my trip, so I am going to give you short review of what I experienced during my trip and let you know about the resorts I visited.

The first resort we went to was Castaway Island Resort out in the Mamanuca island group of Fiji.  The resort offers some beautiful white sandy beaches, and some crystal clear blue water.  Their beachfront bures are just that, and some of the closest to the water I have seen in Fiji.  They are a little small on the inside, but make up for it with the traditional Fijian decor on the inside and the location right on the sand.  There are a ton of activities to do there during your stay like kayaking, snorkeling, windsurfing, scuba diving, and even banana boat rides.  The resort is very child friendly, so if you are a family traveling it would be a perfect fit.  The food was really good there, and the staff is very friendly.  We stayed here for only two nights, but my girlfriend could have stayed for many more!  more…

Namale wins AON award

We have recently learned that Namale Resort and Spa has won the 2009 AON Fiji Excellence in Tourism Award for the category of Accommodation Unique.  Namale Resort and Spa is one of the few resorts in Fiji that offers an all inclusive experience.  They are located on the island of Vanua Levu, which is just a short 1 hour interisland flight from Nadi.

See the official press release here.

We have some exciting news here at South Seas Adventures!  We have just added a new South Pacific Pearls page to our main website.  The South Pacific Pearls are a collection of boutique resorts in the South Pacific that shine just a bit differently than the others, sort of like a string of black pearls.  We consider them our hidden gems of the South Pacific!  On this page we have a description of each resort, and also some of the current packages we offer to them.  Please feel free to have a look at this page, and the resorts we really think shine bright!  Each one of the awaits your visit in 2010!

Destination – Koro Sun Resort, Fiji

Agent – Cindy Swartz

Hi Cindy,

We did have a great time, the people there are fantastic.  We are definitely going to write a glowing review on TA and will include you and SSA in our comments.  We just got back from our reception in New Orleans so we haven’t had the time to make sure we wrote a great one yet.

Koro Sun was great, the really went out of their way to make sure we had a terrific ceremony.

Thanks,

Danny
