We are finally back in New York from our honeymoon in Fiji! We had such an amazing time! It is truly a magical place and the perfect destination for a honeymoon. We wanted to thank you for all of your hard work from start to finish, especially when Air Pacific changed their US-Fiji departures from Sundays to Saturdays. Thank you for rescheduling our flight and Malolo Cat Transfers, and for ensuring that we could stay an extra night at Lomani. Although I’m sure it was stressful for you, you made it very easy for us! Andy and I would like to share our feedback with you.
We absolutely LOVED Lomani. From our arrival at the resort to our farewell, it was like a dream. The staff is personable, professional, dedicated, and willing to do anything to make our trip a lifetime memory. All of the servers took time to learn our names, where we were from, and anything at all they could so they could cater their service to our needs. We felt pampered, refreshed, and like royalty the whole time we were there. The food and service was 5-star quality across the board (and I am a Restaurant Manager in NYC) and the portions were more than generous. The food selection is varied and there were always daily specials for both lunch and dinner that gave the menu a little something extra. The sunset dinners on the beach are very romantic as the sunsets in Fiji are unlike any in the world. Lomani is western-facing so we had perfect sunsets every night. The evening musical entertainment was a nice touch as well; the musicians were great! We couldn’t help but sing along as we ate dinner every night. We also enjoyed the Wednesday Night Kava Ceremony and Lovo Dinner; it gave us a chance to get to know the other guests at the resort and to really immerse ourselves in the Fijian culture.
The Beachfront Bures are stunning. We loved having both an indoor and outdoor shower and the Pure Fiji products were amazing! Our bure had a large deck with 4 chairs on it and we were about 15 steps from the sand and water; it was incredible. Our welcome fruit basket and champagne were delicious.
We did enjoy our 30 minute massages about halfway through the trip and the spa is lovely. We were also very impressed with the daily activities that were offered and took advantage of the snorkeling and fishing trips, the Lovo Cooking, and we even tried some kayaking! The Activities Leader, Peceli, was fantastic and again, took time to learn everyone’s names and interests. Of course, some days we opted to simply lounge on the beach or by the freshwater infinity pool, but it was nice to have options. We felt we could really make the trip our own.
We gave Lomani a glowing review on our exit survey and we cannot wait to post reviews online letting other couples know just how great this place really is.
All in all, the honeymoon was absolutely fantastic!

When someone plans a vacation, half a world away, to an exotic location like Fiji and then adds in a 30th anniversary, one tends to have very high hopes and expectations. I can honestly say that those hopes and expectations were exceeded! You did a fantastic job, thank you.
And to be able to also meet you and Don in person was a nice treat. A few days before I was kidding Rhonda on Koro Makawa that you must have a lot of guts since by the time we met you we would either be very happy or ready to feed you to the sharks; needless to say the sharks went hungry. We had such an amazing time. Not unexpected but definitely more than we ever hoped for. The staff at the Uprising are some “truly” genuine (no drama) people. We fell in love with Kelera and she treated us like one of her own. Took us to a Villiage School that hasn’t been visited by tourists, so that we could give all the art supplies and clothes from O’neill we brought over for them. And she even invited us to her house for a true Fijian dinner. Nothing but love for Kelera. We are so blessed by Fiji and sooooooo jealous your going back. Any chance you can fit us into your luggage….hahah just kidding. I will definitely put feedback on TripAdvisor. Some of the comments from people on there make me wonder why we get such a bad connotation as “Americans”. Inspired us to start a non-profit to give art back to Fiji….(ArtForFiji.org) Anyways, Can’t wait to go back to Fiji. If you ever have any special deals or cheaper flights to Fiji….PLEASE let us know. First off, let me say that thanks to your amazing work, we had the most unbelievable vacation in the Cook Islands. The Sunset Resort was PHENOMENAL! No kids under 15, and the sunsets every night were better than the pictures. The food was amazing Tree. We ate at almost every restaurant on the island, and went back to the Waterline and Kikau Hut a few times. We flew over to Aitutaki for 2 nights and had a blast in the lagoon. The weather was perfect, i can already tell you that we’re planning on returning in 2 years. Next year we gotta go somewhere new….we were thinking the Mediterranean? Any suggestions? Reglardless, i can’t thank you enough for all your work. You’re awesome at what you do.

I needed to find a great Travel Agent and I got very lucky when I found Tiffany Hans at South Seas Adventures – and it was luck. She is an expert when it comes to that part of the world because she travels there each year, so I knew she could answer any question. I asked her for advice on what we should bring, how much ‘tip-money’ I needed and other questions and she answered me with a personal e-mail rather than a list from an internet site. Within a few e-mails and a phone call she picked the perfect vacation for us; Le Taha’a Private Island & Spa which is very close to the Island of Bora Bora, but more secluded from what I’ve heard. Originally we were going to the Bora Bora Hilton but we couldn’t get the overwater bungalow because I tried to pull this off at the last minute, so Tiffany suggested Le Taha’a and as it turns out, it was probably a much better selection; at least that is what I was told from another couple we met who spent the previous 3-nights in Bora Bora. They said Le Taha’a was superior in comparison!
The price was a pleasant surprise and the place was the prettiest place I’ve ever seen with my own eyes. When we were flying in to Papeete, I looked out the window and it was gorgeous – it looked surreal. Our boat captain found us as we walked from the plane and we took a nice boat ride to the private island of Le Taha’a. If you’ve seen the movie “Couples” you’ll remember the scene where they get to their Island and it looks great; well this place looks even nicer!
The staff met us at the dock and everyone seemed to know us by name. There were no crowds and it turned out to be the most relaxing vacation I’ve ever experienced. We got to the island at 9 AM and our room was ready! Tiffany set the travel plans up so we got to the Island early in the morning and then our plane didn’t leave until late that last day on the island so we paid for 5-nights but in reality we got 7-full days of vacation at Le Taha’a!

Just thought I would let you know how our trip went. Beth and I had a great time. Flights went perfect. The diving off Taveuni was amazing (although the “puddle jumper” from Nadi to Taveuni was really scary to Beth). The Taveuni Island Resort was a great place to stay. The bure was beautiful. From what I understand it was only a year old (the bure). They had really good food as well. I think 5-6 nights was the perfect amount of time as well. Although everything was great, we kind of ran out of things to do on Taveuni. We went diving twice, and we would have like to have gone once more, but, other than that, we were ready to head out when our time was up. So, all in all, it was a great trip. Also much funner when other’s are there with you that you know. My parents have never really been on a real vacation and they had the time of their lives as well. My dad is very reserved and old school but I recall him saying “this is the way to go.” They were already planning another trip before we even got home.

Our trip was amazing. It took forever for us to get there, but it was worth it. Our little wedding was so nice…it was exactly what we wanted. Initially, I didn’t want to do the thing where the fijian warriors carried me out on a chair, but in the end, Lusi from the resort talked me into it, and it turned out to be really neat. They decorated a little platform on the beach and created an isle. It was so pretty, and all the flowers were really lovely. I attached a pic from our special day.
Thank you for putting this all together for us and helping us to choose the resort that was right for us. I’m not sure i could have coordinated all this on my own. The service and the food were fantastic. It was just so nice and peaceful there. We got to do some snorkling and we did some island hopping one day too. We also really enjoyed the people from Rosie Holidays and they made our transfers much easier.

Just a quick note to let you know that were thoroughly impressed with the Matangi resort. The staff were the friendliest and most effficient we have ever met, the facilities were superb and the weather and planned activities were all great.
We could not have had a better second honeymoon!
As for the Blue Lagoon Cruise, it would have been nice to see the Yasawa Islands, but I must say the extra 3 days at the Matangi, was great. We did not want to leave.
Let me know when you get the credit from Blue Lagoon. We paid about $2100 extra for the three nights at Matangi. Does that seem like the same rate per night that we had for the first seven?

We did have a wonderful time in Fiji. I guess January is storm season so maybe next time we go a little later in the year. Namale was so wonderful. The staff is so friendly, the food is good and we enjoyed the all inclusive. The only negative was the snorkeling. It was just fair. Also the staff was more into diving and just tolerated us. Still it is a very special place.
Royal D is a beautiful resort. Our room was terrific. I am beginning to love the plunge pool. The snorkeling was terrific right off the beach – no getting in and out of a boat. It is just not a very friendly place. John and I thought the management had a lot to do with that. Signing for every drink, even coke, and snack was really bothersome. The resort even charged for the cookies in the villa. Every time we saw a staffperson they had a slip for us to sign. There has got to be a better way.
We are still looking for the perfect resort. Namale is pretty close to it.

We had a great vacation. I’ll give you the good, bad, and the ugly in my opinion of course. good: diving, mountains, beaches, fish and coral, resort and food, mosquito netting, Maggie, staff and owners, dive guide, hanging out in Nadi, Figians in general. bad: Air Pacific 747 is very cramped, I needed a thicker wet suit, heat at night in room with no fan, humidity, needing to wear sun block and mosquito repellent, little black cat living alone on an island. Ugly: kava hustling, getting bumped at Suva airport, waiting 7 hrs for a flight to Kadavu, and last but not least the terrible food at the Suva airport. It was so bad that we made jokes about it. we all claimed that it was the best vacation that we ever had and the 3 of us have been many places together.
We all would go back!

We had a nice time. Rained in the beginning, but cleared up for the last week. Takitumu was very nice. The little bungalow felt like home. We had no complaints about Rarotonga. It was what I had expected it to be. Sadly, the reef in front of Takitumu is dying. Lots of dead coral and murky (bad viz) water. Snorkeling in front of the Rarotonga Resort (Aroa Beach) was much better. Water was clear, lots of fish and coral. We went there almost every day. Would not stay there, though. That was just the first set of pics. I have tons more to go through and post. I took lots of underwater pics. Thank you for your help in setting up this nice vacation.

Sure wish I had one of those outdoor showers at home! We did loads of diving. Got to dive with the Manta’s 4 times. Everything went very smoothly – the people who were picking us up were right there and the staff at every place we stayed were just the best. We had good weather for the most part – some rain at Matava. We passed on your name to many travelers along the way.
Hope that you are well and thank you for the day room at Nadi and the time at Rosie’s. It made the trip home a lot better. As it was (because of the detour to Guam) we were in route forever! All worth it though and we have many wonderful memories of our 25th and all of the romantic touches that each resort did. We felt very pampered and grateful to have gotten to experience Fiji and the warmth and joy of the Fijian people again.

. Everyone just fell in love with the cooks when we landed and it was so hard to leave. Kevin kept saying make sure and thank Tree over and over…hehe. Seriously, we couldn’t have had a better wedding-honeymoon-family vacay. I’ve been telling everyone who asks about the trip to contact you btw. The hotels were perfect, the people were lovely, the food was awesome, the snorkeling was breathtaking, and we met new friends.

There was a full moon before we left and the next day we took a scooter out to the eastern side of Aitutaki and there were hundreds, if not thousands of land crabs crossing the road! We swerved and tried to slowly maneuver around them, but they looked like they would rather attack the scooter than run away!! it was sooo cool! Oh, and the 5 island cruise was TeKing was more than we expected. He actually taught me how to swim!! I ACTUALLY got in the water for almost an hour snorkeling! He even stopped by later that evening to drop of some of his tuna stash

Thanks for setting us up with the best trip ever. Crown Beach was great. The staff was wonderful. Rondo was a little crotchety but I worked for men like him when I lived in Idaho. He is very Idaho rancher style. He certainly does not trust his staff. The location was amazing. The Pacific Beach Resort was out of this world. There were only a few other guest the first 3 or 4 days so we had the place to ourselves. It was amazing to have every staff member at our beckoning call. They were very professional with out loosing the Island feel. When going to small country’s I have found that at the higher end resorts you find yourself insulated from the culture, but not at the Pacific Resort they have embraced it. They have made a 5 star resort feel like you were living with the locals. That is a very special thing. I was afraid that staying at such a nice resort you would loose some of the island feel. Again not true there. Aututaki was the most spectacular place I have ever been and we travel a lot. The lagoon tour was incredible. So much so we went twice. The snorkeling…WOW. Giant clams with the iridescent blue and green lips. Huge turtles, the friendly giant moray ills as big as me and all the tropical fish you could ever imagine. Word of advice though, don’t point your finger at the green moray ills, they are not as friendly. The family came back full of energy and there is no place like the Cooks to help bond a family together and create ever lasting memories.

We just got back from Rarotonga on Sunday night. We can’t thank you enough for sending us to Royal Takitumu!! Wow, we had a really, really wonderful time and were SO blown away by how great the resort was. Our accommodations were terrific – absolutely everything we could possibly need was there for us. The grounds are just beautiful and so well looked after; and the beach and ocean… well, I really don’t think it gets much better than that. Also, we met so many nice people while staying there. Bill and Amber and Rongo were amazing – they were so good to us. Unfortunately we didn’t get to meet Bill’s wife, she was in Toronto while we were there. I plan on sending them a card to say thanks so much. And thank you for getting us hooked up with such great people; we will definitely go back.

Hi Tree!!! Well, I made it back from Rarotonga, and I had a blast. The island was so beautiful, and the people were very nice. My accommodations at the Sunset Resort were off the chain. The hostess, Kimi, and the rest of the staff at the Sunset Resort were wonderful. I was given a free upgrade to a 2bed, 2bath, beachfront suite. I had a glorious view. The beach was literally 50 feet away from my front door. The beach on that side of the island was a little rocky, but I still enjoyed it. Especially with the beautiful sunsets every evening. The food on the island was very good. I ate at the resort a couple of times and at a couple other restaurants. I had dinner at Alfredo’s restaurant two times, both the food and service were very good. The bus service was very convenient, but I enjoyed walking. I took a tour of the interior island. The winds were kind of high and the water was a little choppy, so I didn’t partake in the glass bottom tour. I didn’t get to Marthaline’s Pearls but I found some really nice pearls and other trinkets while shopping in the township.
The flight down and back through Air New Zealand was great. There hasn’t been a domestic carrier that has ever made me feel that pampered.

Just wanted to let you know that we had the best time there at Toberua. The snorkeling, food, people, and island were amazing. I would recommend Toberua for anyone who wants a relaxing and mildly adventurous vacation or honeymoon to Fiji. The activities that we were able to attend were great, especially picnic island. And, if there is an activity that you want to do and don’t see it on their list they will make it happen for you. Everyone on the island were very nice and friendly. The bures were amazing.

Ian and I wanted to thank you so much for planning our honeymoon trip to Fiji. It was absolutely AMAZING!! Exactly what we had been looking for and much much more!
We loved the intimacy and personalized feel of Matangi and made many good friends there. Everybody was so warm and friendly, the staff knew all of us by our first names, and we felt “at home” there. The island was beautiful, we especially loved Horseshoe Bay, and the hiking views from on top of the island. 7 days was the perfect amount of time to stay there, and we were extremely sad to when it was time to leave. We were sad until we arrived at Likuliku! We didn’t think it could really get any better than Matangi, but it really did!
Likuliku was incredible, we were blown away by the beauty of the Mamanucas and the island and the resort itself. The quality of the resort was amazing, from the sheets to the down pillows to our rooms and the fresh flowers they put on our bed and bathrooms – we absolutely LOVED Likuliku. The crystal shining blue waters and bright sun everyday made the snorkeling and scuba diving even better. we saw sharks and giant sea turtles at the Supermarket when we were diving, it was also my birthday that day, so it was the perfect present. Each resort had its own unique qualities, while Likuliku was definitely higher quality and more professional and the weather and scenery were better, we loved Matangi because it was so charming and friendly and personalized. But we loved Likuliku b/c the weather, scenery, and resort there was much better as well. so we were very happy we had both experiences in Fiji.
Once again, thank you so much for your help, we will definitely be recommending your agency next time our friends are looking to book their honeymoon!
