Bula! (hello as they say in Fiji!) I would like to share with you a resort that has gone from a Dive Resort in the 1980′s to a 5 star luxury getaway! My feet first stepped on to the tarmac on Matei – Taveuni airport in 1988, and at this time I first meet Do and Rick Cammick..they where running at that time Dive Taveuni with full on divers.. right on the Somo Somo Straits! I have NEVER been on a helicopter and I have fruit bats in my stomach. I am so excited to go to Likuliku this way! As they say it’s the only way to fly! I am here with my husband Jeff, ready to take off. It is a beautiful day in Nadi and we have the cameras ready to shoot. As we lift off I cannot believe how much of an exciting ride this is going to be! We just got off our Pacific Sun flight from the Northern Islands of Fiji and we are ready for a break. more…

I was able to visit Castaway Island Resort twice last year. Once with the Tourism Fiji Dive Fiesta, and the second time with my girlfriend for our anniversary. As the Owner of South Seas Adventures, I have been able to travel to Fiji 43 times since 1988, when my Husband Jeff and I went for our first dive trip to Fiji. We were drawn to this country based on a Dive magazine at the time that had beautiful underwater photos of Clown fish (how can you not be drawn by them?) soft corals and tropical fish we had NEVER seen before in the Caribbean diving!
