Destination – Qamea Resort and Spa, Fiji

Agent – Tree Ritchie

Dear Ron and Tracy,

Thank you ever so much for our fabulous time at Qamea!  People have often asked me if it takes me a few days to unwind on vacation.  Strangely, it only takes me about 10 minutes to adjust to life on Qamea!  But, It has taken me about 10 days to catch up and readjust to home life as usual.

We were especially impressed with the new jungle spa!  The treatments were heavenly.  I was dubious about the location, and expected bugs of which there were none in the spa bures.  However, the hush of the forest overlaid with bird calls and the faint sound of the ocean was deeply relaxing.  The therapists were second to none, and I’ve literally had well over 100 massages over many years being in the body work business.  The full body massage was eclipsed only by the sugar scrub. more…

Destination – Matangi Private Island Resort, Fiji

SSA Agent – Sarah Bosley

Hi Sarah,

I don’t know if Roxan told you but we had the most amazing time in Matangi!  Thank you so much for setting it up for us and thank you especially for the extra birthday touches.  It was really very special and I earned major brownie points but they should really go to you!  They sang a birthday serenade when we got there AND that night at dinner with a cake…above and beyond anything I expected.  Everyone there is so nice and they took such good care of us.  It was so hard to leave.  I’m definitely recommending you guys and Matangi to my friends.

Thanks again!

Koroipita Settlement Fiji

Koroipita2Linda and Tree from South Seas Adventures recently volunteered to help build a new shower and toilet block in the Koroipita settlement in Fiji.  Koroipita is a settlement located about one hour from the Nadi International Airport, where for the last three years, Rosie Holidays has organised teams of Tourism volunteers to give up their long weekends and build new homes and other infrastructure for low income earners who have in the past, been homeless.  The town provides a new home, running water, child education and a secure environment for familites to raise their children. more…

Tourism Fiji Dive Fiesta

MePurpleWallI recently attended the Tourism Fiji Dive Fiesta which this year focused on the diving near the main island of Viti Levu, the Yasawa Island group, the Mamanuca Island group, and the Northern tip of Viti Levu where the Bligh Water and Vatu-I-Ra Channel is located.  There were a total of 14 agents from the US, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, and even one from Japan.

Starting from the Nadi Airport in Fiji, we all were met with the traditional friendly Fijian greeting and were transferred to the Radisson Resort in Denarau.   Here we enjoyed a nice breakfast and were off to our rooms to get our scuba gear and head out to our first dives of the trip.  more…
